Someone Close Passing Away

SOME ONE CLOSE YOU LOVE IS PASSING AWAY WHAT DO YOU DO?

It's so true, someone close you love so much is slowly passing away in front of you, and you are helpless.

In my case it is my wife, who will turn 71 years old on March 1st, 2009, she has had diabetes and now has severe leg damage in her legs, it's to the point she can't walk, I have to
make sure that she has her walker and also a 'scooter" that helps her get around.

I have been designated as the cook, cleaner and still I have to hold down a part time job, which allows me to get away from the house for a few hours and that is all. I never want to be gone long, because I never know what could happen to my wife.

Today has been a bad day for her since she can't seem to walk, so I am doing the best I can at getting her everything she needs. I listen for her every movement, I listen because I never know when she will fall, and I listen because I love her so much. My wife, has been a blessing that every man should have, she has taught me things I never would have known, and she as stayed with me when I was sick and
fell on the floors having epileptic seizures. She was always there for me, she was there for me the night of May 8th, 2005 when I received the call that my mother had passed away while in a Florida nursing home. That also was the night of my birthday, May 8th, what a time to remember.

We have been married some 18 years and those have been the best of times, and sometimes it seemed like the worst of times, but during it all I have continued to love and adore this woman who I call my wife.

She has been there for me when I was sick, now I need to be there for her, and I will. GOD I wish the pain would come to me, because I seem to tolerate pain better.

There really is nothing that I would not do, if I could to help her, I mean, I love her so much, I do not want to lose her, I don't want her to leave, I love her that much.

We both have been down different roads, and we both have seen so many changes, but when I look back there are the special times I remember with my wife, like prior to getting married in 1988, we were living in Douglasville, just off of Fairburn Road, and we would walk the drive way at night, just talking and loving each other and holding hands. Then as the drive curved, I would take my stick and scribble in the sand "I LOVE YOU", sometimes I would add a big heart with a arrow through and have our initials in the middle, "A.P. Loves E.P". now this was love.

We talked about so many things, and it was amazing that through those times of being together I do not remember us watching a TV show, all I remember was holding hand and loving each other.

We were young, so we thought, we had both been through bad divorces, and that was something I never wanted to happen again in my life, and you know GOD gave me the right wife, and she was always so good to me. We loved to share times and stories, we loved to sit close to each other, we were so inseparable it was crazy.

I know that my wife has just a little more time to live and GOD knows I want her to have the best of what time there is for both of us. I want to be so close that we are now sleeping in the same bed that was once just normal. We are sleeping with other and praying before we close our eyes. We love each other, and I don't mean in the sexual way, we are loving each other in thoughts and prayers and deeds of action.

GOD Bless my wife, who I love so much, and give me strength to go through these times, that I know will come.

We have started to go back to the church that we once went to in days of old, and that is Rock Fellowship, there we learned so much, and there we also because closer to the LORD.
Could this be a sign of things to come?

I have no family except those of her daughters and son, I have no one else in my life, I am so alone and I am afraid of what will happen to me, when something happens to her, I know I will lose it all.

All I ask is that GOD please give me strength, to carry on, and watch after her while my wife is here, and please let me take care of her, and I pray that the family does not throw me out to the dogs.

The woman I married on April 12, 1988 was Edna E.Patti, and we became close partners as well as lovers and I do not want anyone to ever separate us. I Love my wife.

From a loving Husband,

Barack Obama, the NEXT PRESIDENT

BARACK OBAMA, THE 44TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

Well it's true, a African American has been elected to serve as the 44th President of the United States of America, and you know maybe he won't be that bad after all.

We have seen Presidents, that have taken the Country to places that we don't want to go back to, I mean look at them, from Hoover, to Bush, and all those in between. The President has always been a global target. He has taken hits from every side, and still wants the job.

Take John F.Kennedy and his lovely family as he entered the White House and made it his home, he was brave, and young and tall and some say handsome, well now let us look at Barack Obama, Young, tall, a beautiful family man, with two precious children not to mention a beautiful wife that is also tall. He has made us dream, he has challenged us. When we say we can't the chant can be heard for miles "YES WE CAN". He has made this Country think, he has dreams, some of us share them, he will be a peoples President.

He was a Senator from the great State of Illinois, to be honest I never heard of him, I mean have you, with a name like Barack Obama, seems as if we all would have noticed him, but remember he was a senator and really only those die hard politic watchers may have noticed him.

When he announced he was running for President of the United States, people around the country wondered about this "BLACK" man that wanted to be President. Surely he was joking,
I mean, who would vote for a African American to be President?.
But when we look back at George W.Bush, and all that has happened in his administration and all the set backs and all the lies, why not elect a African American to become the first President of his race.

When you really get to know Barack, his mother was white and was from the middle of the heart of the United States, Kansas, his Father was from Kenya in Africa. He really never knew his father but he did spend time with him maybe 2 months are so.
His Father met and married his mother, while they both attended a University in Hawaii, his Mother was studying to become a archeologist, while his Father was in school also.
Barack was born and lived with his maternal grandparents in Hawaii, and his grandfather always told him, that he could be anyone he wanted because he was a American. He would never have dreamed that this young man would grow up to become President of the United States.
Let's get real, neither did his wife Michelle Obama, she just thought he would stay as a law student and make plenty of money and that was that. She has recieved a shock, she will now become the first lady of the White House.

This brings me to the night his acceptance speech, on November 5th, 2008, there he was at Grant Park in Chicago, where he had spent so much time, working with people that needed help.
Now the World was watching to hear what he had to say, we were not disappointed, as the more than 250,000 people of all colors and races, chanted "YES WE CAN", there were the young, and the old, the stars, and the politicians, all there to see the next changing of the guard. And to be honest, it brought back memories of when President John F.Kenndy and his wonderful wife came out to greet the cheering crowd. There is so much to compare with Kennedy and Obama.
Kennedy was for the working class and down and out people, so is Barack Obama.
Obama faces challenges that no one in their right mind would want, but then again that is why he is President and we are not.
Remember for 132 days, he will be in the grandest prison of all, the house called "The White House", where he will never again be able to take a walk on the streets of America, without a huge and vast security system put in place first. His every day will be awakened by challenges that we just read about, he will be sheltered and kept aware of dangers that are lurking to destroy our Country and that is why we voted for him, because we believe he was and will be the right man for the job.
His wife, Michelle will be guarded and his children will have their own security, so for them growing up will be a challenge, but then again not many children can say that their address is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. When John F.Kennedy was President we seen little "John,John" and his sister Carolyne Kennedy grow up in the White House.
We also saw and felt the horror when their Father was assassinated in Dallas on a cold November day in 1963, were the Kennedy children ready for that, were they ready to lose a Father who loved them, as we look back, they had to grow up and that is what they did fast.
If you are as old as I am, you can still see "John" saluting, his Fathers casket as it passed by the White House, that was such a moving seen. I pray that Barack Obama's children never have to see that happen to their Father.

These will be tough times for President-elect Barack Obama and we all are praying for him, as he tries to lead this Country away from the wars and financial mess.
He may not have all the answers, but we know that he will be a great President, and I am backing him 100%, I hope you do also.
I do have one fear and that is that some radical group or deranged person will try and assassinate him, and that is something I would never want to happen to a man, that has character and charisma, that only he has.
So needless to say, the 44th and next President of the United States, Barack Obama, needs all the pray that this Country can give him, as he try's to help get America back to where we once were. a tower of honest, and every Country wanted to be like we were.
In closing, did you notice that when Barack Obama was named to become the next President of the United States, we heard nothing bad from foreign Country's and there was no burning of the American Flag. What does that tell you?. something is right don't you think?
